Prayer Shawl Ministry

The prayer shawl ministry is a beautiful way to share faith and prayers with loved ones, whether newborns, newlyweds, or most commonly the sick.

Shawl are made by volunteers who pray while making them. Each shawl has been blessed by a priest and is accompanied by an individual prayer card and tag to address to the recipient(s).

Prayer shawls are available for distribution in the vestible of the Oakfield site. Please be sure to fill out our log book (also located in the vestibule) so that we may include the recipients in our prayers.

Patterns and materials are also available for those interested in volunteering their talents. (For those less talented, donations are also appreciated.)
